I opened the school Earthspeak Arts in 2003 as an excuse to play with metal all day. The school continues to grow with students coming from around the country and region. When I am not teaching, I get to do my own work which is moving towards larger sculptural pieces in copper, silver, and bronze.

I moved to Asheville in May and got religion this summer--I fell in love with the French Broad River! My recent art relates back to it---with a wide definition. Come see oil riverscapes, large watercolor wildlife, French Broads, berets, and scarves to adorn them!
For the past 20 years, I have written and illustrated children's books, and visited schools based in Southern California. Three of my books are available at the studio.

My bowls have the incredible ability to "sing" - by circling the lip with a wooden mallet this beautiful resonating tone fills the room and is even felt in the body. They are amazing! "Prayer" bowls are typically made out of metal or crystal, my bowls are some of the only ones in the world that are made from clay. They are used for meditation and healing and are extremely calming. The Clayspace Co-op is a cooperative ceramics studio and gallery located in the historic River Arts District of Asheville.
